How it works from Northbridge.

From your Northbridge building to a friend, a sitter or a new home.

A door-to-door ride is the simplest thing we do, and the one owners ask for most. You hand your pet over at your door, we drive them straight to the next one, and the person you named takes it from there.

Owners use it when a friend is looking after the dog for the weekend, when the cat is going to a sitter while they travel, when a family member is helping out, or when the whole household is moving and the pet needs to arrive calmly rather than squeezed in between boxes.

Before the day we agree both addresses, the time and who’s at each end. We also note how your pet travels, so the crate or carrier, the comfort item and the hello at the door all suit them.

How the ride goes.

  1. Before

    Agree the details

Both addresses, the time, who hands over and who receives, and how your pet likes to travel.

  2. Pickup

    Hello at your door

We check their bag and tag with you and settle them into their crate, harness or carrier.

  3. The ride

    Straight there

A direct ride in their own secured space, with something from home beside them.

  4. Handover

    To the person you named

We hand them over with their bag and notes, and let you know they’ve arrived.

Dog or cat, it’s planned around them.

What changes for each passenger on the door-to-door ride.

Dogs

  • A crate sized for them, or clipped in with a car-safe harness
  • On their lead when you open the door
  • A short walk before pickup helps them settle

Cats

  • Their own closed carrier for the whole ride
  • A blanket that smells like home inside
  • Handed over still in their carrier

If plans change on the day.

Friends run late and sitters swap shifts. If someone different will be at the door, call us as soon as you know and give us their name and number. We only hand your pet to the person you’ve named, so a quick call keeps the handover simple.

If nobody answers when we arrive, we call the person you named, then you. Your pet stays settled in their travel space while we sort it out together. We never leave a pet at an empty address.

Pickups in Northbridge.

A few things that help the hello at your door go smoothly.

  • Lobbies and concierge desks

Tell us if there’s a concierge and whether we can meet you in the lobby.

  • Elevators and stairs

Tell us the floor and whether there’s an elevator. For bigger dogs, a short walk down is often easier.

  • Where we can stop

Let us know about loading bays or the best place to pull in, so nobody is rushed.

In their bag.

  • Their lead, collar or harness, or their carrier
  • A blanket or toy from home
  • Food in a labeled container, if they’re staying
  • A page of notes for the person receiving them
  • Your phone number on their bag

What we’ll ask you

  • Both addresses and where to stop
  • A name and number for each end
  • How your pet usually travels
  • The date and time of day you have in mind
