Ride day.
From a few days before to the handover. Here’s what happens on every ride.
Six moments, every ride.
From getting the carrier out to the message that says they’ve arrived.
A few days before
Make the carrier familiar
Leave their carrier or crate out at home with a blanket inside so it’s nothing new by ride day. Fill in their travel tag and pack their bag.
The day before
We check the details
We go through both addresses, the time and both contacts with you. If anything has changed, now’s the time to tell us.
Ride morning
A quiet start
A short walk for dogs, a calm room for cats. Keep breakfast light if they’re not great in the car.
At your door
Hello and settle
We check their bag, tag and notes with you, then settle them into their crate, harness or carrier.
On the road
Direct
Straight to the destination in their own secured space. No detours and no extra stops.
At the other end
The handover
We hand them to the person you named with their bag and notes, then message you to say they’ve arrived.

What goes in their bag.
For dogs
- Lead and collar or harness
- A blanket or toy from home
- Food in a labeled container, if needed
- Poop bags and a small towel
- Their travel tag and notes
For cats
- Their own carrier, door secured
- A blanket that smells like home
- A carrier cover, if they like one
- Food in a labeled container, if needed
- Their travel tag and notes
After the handover.
- A message from us once they’re handed over
- Their bag and notes go with them
- Anything the other end passes back comes home too
- Their travel notes updated for next time
Some pets hop out and carry on with their day. Others need a little time. Cats do best leaving their carrier in their own time in a quiet room, with water and their litter tray nearby. Dogs usually like a sniff around and a drink.
If anything about the ride seemed hard for your pet, tell us. We’ll add it to their notes and plan the next ride around it.
Where’s your pet headed?
Tell us the pickup, the destination and who’s waiting. We’ll plan the rest of the ride with you.
